Location of the School
The main SOEST offices, labs, classes, and other facilities are located in the southeast corner of the “upper campus”
of the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa in beautiful Manoa valley. Manoa is a neighborhood in the
city of Honolulu, capital of the state of Hawai‘i and located on the island of O‘ahu, which is one of the eight main islands of the Hawaiian archipelago.
In the top photo, the location of SOEST buildings on the UH campus is circled. The view is looking South, toward the ocean (looking makai in Hawaiian) with Diamond Head Crater and Waikiki in the background.
Your support is vital to the success of SOEST’s mission. Find out how you can help by becoming a
“Friend of SOEST.”
The School proactively endorses gender equity and non-discrimination in the workplace. There are a number of documents, both
from the University of Hawai‘i and the U.S. Federal Government, that provide useful information to staff, students, and faculty. You are encouraged to be
aware of these resources, as well as the procedures for filing informal or formal complaints.
Links to online resources, including web pages and PDFs, are on the web page.
